Online course for PMU artists

Reel
Talk.

On camera, one small step at a time. You know you should be filming yourself. Reel Talk is thirteen small steps that take you from hating thirty seconds of yourself on video to talking about your own work to your whole audience. There are no lessons to watch. Each step is a small thing you go and do, and it gets a little harder each time.

Sound familiar?

Brilliant in the chair — and invisible online

If any of these hit home, it isn't because you've nothing to say. It's because nobody ever gave you something small enough to start with.

You've filmed yourself talking, watched it back, and deleted it. More than once.
You can talk for three hours to a client in the chair, then freeze the second a camera's pointed at you.
You post before and afters with music over them, and you know your face should be in there somewhere.
Your voice sounds wrong to you on a recording, so you've decided it must sound wrong to everybody.
You never know how to start a video, so you don't. Or you say “hi guys” and cringe for the rest of it.
There's one specific person, an ex or someone from school or an artist you know, who you picture watching every time you try to record.

This is a skill, and nobody has ever broken it down for you. Reel Talk breaks it into thirteen pieces. The first two happen with nobody watching at all.

Imagine instead

Talking about your work without thinking about it

Clients who message you already knowing how you work, because they've heard you explain it. Calmer in the chair, more decided, more yours. A pinned video at the top of your profile that does the selling before anybody has enquired. That's where step thirteen leaves you. Step one is a voice memo you delete.

Thirteen steps, about two minutes a day, yours for life. You start the day you join.

Who it's for

Reel Talk gets you on camera. What to post, hooks and editing are in the Business Builder. This is the part that has to happen first.

This is for you if…

  • You're a PMU artist and you know you should be on camera but can't make yourself do it
  • You've been told to just practise, and that didn't work
  • You can explain your work perfectly to a client and lose it the second you're recording
  • You want something small, daily and private to start with
  • You'd rather be told exactly what to do each day than have to decide

It's not for you if…

  • You're already comfortable on camera and want the whole business sorted — what to post, what to charge, your systems, your consultations. That's the PMU Business Builder, and Reel Talk comes free with it
  • You want hooks, captions, editing or algorithm advice — none of that is in here
  • You're after a technique course — nothing here is about brows

What's inside

Thirteen steps across six stages. Each one repeats a few times until it stops feeling like anything, then you move up. The first four are below. The rest come with you when you join.

What you actually see

One card a day, and a reminder you set once. That's the whole interface.

Reel Talk

TodayStep 4 of 13

Face and voice, to a small group

A Close Friends list of whoever you'd feel least watched by, and they don't have to be friends. Past clients, people who enquired and never booked, complete randoms. Five is plenty. Thirty seconds to camera, posted there.

Pick one — whichever fits today
  • “Does it actually hurt?” — answer it how you would in the chair.
  • The one thing you wish people knew before they booked.
  • What you genuinely love about this job.

Five takes maximum. Post the best one and stop.

Your daily nudge

I find it best just after my clients. When I've been chatting all day a video comes out far more natural than it does first thing in the morning, before I've really spoken to anyone.

What's included

13

Thirteen steps, forty-seven goes

Every brief and every prompt, in order, on one card a day. You never have to think of what to say.

✉

One email each morning

It tells you what today's step is and nothing else. It follows where you are rather than a calendar, so if you have a mad week it waits for you.

8

Eight short reads

For the bits that stop people. Why you hate your own voice, how to start and stop without the awkward “hi guys”, the people you're actually scared of, talking about your work without cringing.

◷

A reminder in your phone

Pick a time that suits your day and it drops straight into your calendar. Most artists pick just after their last client.

▣

Sits on your home screen

Add it like an app and it opens straight onto today's step, next to Instagram where you'll see it.

∞

Yours to keep

Nothing expires and nothing locks. If a week gets away from you, you pick it back up where you left off.

Why I built this

It changed how many, and it changed who

I didn't start out comfortable doing this. I stumbled over my words and found the opening and closing awkward. I cut every pause and every “um” out of my early videos, which took longer than filming them, and I still don't watch those back.

I went from hoping the diary filled to being consistently booked three months in advance — and I've stayed that way.

The bigger change was who turned up. Clients came in already knowing who I was and how I work, calmer, because they'd heard my voice a hundred times before they sat down. They'd picked me, rather than ringing round to see who had a space that week. Reel Talk is what I wish somebody had given me at the start.

Questions, answered

Do I have to post anything publicly?

Not until step five. The first two steps go nowhere at all, not to followers, not to clients, not to us. By the time anything is public you've done four steps that got you there.

Does anyone see my first video?

No. Nobody, including me. It stays on your phone in a folder called Day One, and you're the only person who ever opens it, at the very end.

How long does it take?

About six weeks if you do one most days. Most steps take under two minutes. There's no deadline. Nothing expires, and the emails wait for you if you have a mad week.

Is this a content or marketing course?

No. Reel Talk gets you on camera. What to post, hooks, captions, editing and the algorithm are all in the Business Builder, and Reel Talk points you there when you're done. If you already own the Business Builder, Reel Talk is included.

I own the Business Builder. Do I pay?

No. It's already in your portal. Log in and it's there.

Will I get feedback on my videos?

No. The course is built so you don't need anyone to tell you it was good. The point is finding out that nothing bad happens when you post. At the end you can send a sentence about how it went, and your Instagram handle, so I can follow along.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes — pay in full or split it with Klarna at checkout.

What's the refund policy?

It's a digital course with instant lifetime access, so enrolment is non-refundable. Take a moment to be sure it's right for you before you join.
